Musabaqoh darsul lail (MDL) merupkan perlombaan yang diadakan oleh pengurus Madrasah diniyah Pondok Modern Darul Hukmah Tawangsari, dalam kurun waktu 2 tahun terakhir perlombaan ini sempat berhenti karena suatu hal, akan tetapi demi menyemarakkan ulang tahun pondok yang ke 25 tahun Pondok Modern Darul Hikmah, Musabaqoh Darsul Lail diadakan, dan allahamdulillah tepat pada tanggal 16 september 2016 jam 20.00 dilaksanakan pembukaan Musabaqoh darsul Lail di masjid jami’ AR-Ridwan Pondok Modern Darul Hikmah dibuka langsung oleh bapak Pimpinan Pondok Al – Ustadz K.H Irkhamni khoirul Munzilin M.Kom dan dihadiri oleh seluruh santri beserta Asatidzah.
dalam pidato pembukaan Musabaqoh Darsul Lail bapak Pimpinan Pondok Modern Darul Hikmah menyampaikan bahwa ” musibahnya orang yang mencari ilmu adalah lupa, maka salah satu upaya untuk mempertahankannya yaitu dengan Musabaqoh (perlombaan) jadi sangat tepat kalau Musabaqoh Darsul Lail diadakan lagi”.fdl
